What I ate at the equator…

fresh fruit juices
llapingachos

filet mignon wrapped in bacon and topped with mushroom sauce
avocado pie

fried eggs, bacon & toast
salchipapas (with funny shaped hot dogs)

poutine (or “faux-tine” as my Canadian friend called it)
cuy (yep, that’s a leg/paw)

humitas for breakfast
new fruits (this one’s a pepino and tastes strange)

lots of grilled meat
artisanal potato chips and maria crackers (great for long bus rides)

my first mcflurry (this one had toblerone pieces)
nachos

large amounts of ice cream (thank you Cuenca)
more grilled meat

hot chocolate (made from real dark chocolate)
more desserts (this time chocolate crepes with fruit)

and lots of frosty drinks

    A few things:

    1. I like your eggs and bacon face!
    2. Avocado pie does not look good but I am intrigued. (Was it good? and is it sweet or savory?)
    3. I can’t believe you ate cuy. But I bet it was tasty.

Looking forward to hearing more about what you’re eating now, halfway around the world 🙂

Avocado pie is delicious! It is sweet because it is mixed with condensed milk. The next time we’re together, I will make it for you.

And I did not find cuy tasty, but then I don’t think I could get over the fact it still looked like cuy on my plate. That one you’ll have to try without me. =)
